Adult Therapy Services

My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to your individual needs. Together, we'll explore how past experiences may be influencing your current thoughts, emotions, and relationships, and work toward healing the experiences that continue to have an impact on your life today.

I support clients experiencing a variety of concerns, including:

  • Trauma and adverse life experiences

  • Birth trauma and/or any perinatal trauma

  • Anxiety and depression

  • Relationship and interpersonal challenges

  • Parenting and family difficulties

  • Challenges with managing emotions

  • Workplace stress and burnout

  • Specific fears and phobias

Together, we will work at a pace that feels safe and manageable, with a focus on building understanding, resilience, and meaningful, lasting change.

Early Trauma Intervention for Children & Adolescents

I have a limited number of spaces available for children and young people (0–17 years) experiencing symptoms following traumatic experiences. For families where it is clinically appropriate, I offer home visiting sessions, providing therapy in the comfort and familiarity of your child's own environment.

These experiences may include:

  • Medical procedures or hospitalisation

  • Accidents or injuries

  • Sudden or frightening events

  • Natural disasters

  • Witnessing or experiencing violence

  • Other overwhelming or distressing experiences

Trauma can affect a child's nervous system long after the event has passed. It may show up as anxiety, sleep difficulties, behavioural changes, emotional dysregulation, clinginess, regression, or avoidance. Sometimes the impact is obvious, and sometimes it is much more subtle.

One of the most important things I want families to know is that no child is too young to benefit from trauma therapy. Even babies and toddlers can experience trauma, and early intervention can help their nervous system recover before patterns of distress become more deeply established.

My goal is to gently support your child's nervous system to process what has happened, reducing symptoms and allowing them to return to the natural developmental pathway they were meant to follow. Therapy is always tailored to your child's age and developmental stage, using approaches that are evidence-based, engaging, and appropriate for young children through to adolescents.

If you are wondering whether your child's experiences may be affecting them, I welcome you to get in touch for a conversation about whether this service may be the right fit for your family.

What to Expect

The first sessions will focus on understanding your experiences, current concerns, and goals for therapy. Together we will determine which type of therapy is an appropriate treatment approach and identify a specific target experience for treatment. I draw from a range of evidence-based therapies, with particular experience in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), Parent-Infant Psychotherapy, and Mentalisation-Based Therapy.

Throughout therapy, you are encouraged to ask questions, provide feedback, and raise any concerns you may have. Therapy works best when it is collaborative, and your comfort and wellbeing are important priorities.
